Dr. Victoria A. Ursitti, D.M.D
Originally from New York, Dr. Ursitti received her Bachelor’s Degree from Cornell University in Nutritional Sciences and then earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Tufts University in Boston. She spent two years in New York City practicing General Dentistry at Cornell University-New York Hospital, before completing her advanced specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1995. In conjunction with her training at UIC, she won a National Award from the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry for research on Pharmacological Agents for Behavior Management.
Dr. Ursitti has been in private practice since 1995 and opened All About Kids Dentistry in January 2002. She is a Diplomate and Fellow of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and for many years enjoyed teaching as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Illinois Society of Pediatric Dentistry, The Arcolian Dental Arts Society and the International Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Ursitti, her staff and practice devote many hours to providing educational programs throughout the Northwest Community and volunteer their services to groups of under=served children. She is a member of the Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce and sponsors children’s events in support of local charities. She is an avid downhill skier, participates in choral singing, enjoys traveling, Italian cooking and resides in Arlington Heights with her husband Patrick and son, Gianni.
About Our Anesthesiologist
Michael S. Higgins, DDS
Following dental school, Dr. Higgins completed a Hospital General Practice Residency in New York, after which he was then accepted into the anesthesiology residency at Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Chicago, 1980-82. Since completion of his anesthesia training, Dr. Higgins has practiced dental anesthesiology, providing office based anesthesia care throughout the Northern Illinois area.
In addition to his private practice, Dr. Higgins is a long-standing faculty member with the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Illinois Hospital Medical Center, and holds the academic rank of Associate Professor of Anesthesiology within that department and the University Of Illinois College Of Medicine. Dr. Higgins is a regional and national lecturer and is published in the area of Anesthesiology for Dentistry. He is a consultant to the Illinois State Department of Professional Regulation.
Dr. Higgins has remained very active at all levels of the dental society. On the local level, he served on Mediation & Peer Review for the Chicago Dental Society, as President of the Northwest Suburban Dental Society, on the Chicago Midwinter Lecture and Exhibits Committees, as Program Chairman of the Chicago Midwinter Meeting, and as Chairman of the Members Group of the Chicago Dental Society.
On the state level, Dr. Higgins is pleased to have served on the Publications and Legislative committees and other numerous committees of the Illinois State Dental Society (ISDS), as a member of ISDS Board of Trustees, Program Chairman of the ISDS Leadership Conference, Program Chairman for the ISDS Annual Session, and a delegate to the American Dental Association.
In addition, Dr. Higgins is proud to have represented the Profession as President of:

Dr. Higgins is a Fellow of both the American and the International College of Dentists . He is board certified with the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology and the National Board of Anesthesiology . He is a Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology . Dr. Higgins was a recipient of the prestigious Dr. Leonard M. Monheim Lifetime Achievement Award for Anesthesiology .
Dr. Higgins is a native of the Chicago area and resides in Palatine with his wife, Mary, and their three children- Ryan, Lindsay, and Mitchell. He enjoys spending time with his family as well as boating, fishing, and gardening, when he can find the time!
Dr. Rupal Patel-Naik, D.D.S.
Dr. Patel is gentle and compassionate. Her goal is to provide top-end dental care and a comforting experience for children.
Dr. Patel is also highly trained by some of the nation’s top dental educators. She received dual graduate degrees at University of Illinois as a Doctor in Dental Surgery and a Master of Science in Oral Sciences. She completed two additional years of training in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Southern California and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. While in residency she won the national American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry OMNI research fellowship, awarded to only three people in the country!
She is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and stays on the cutting-edge as a member of the following organizations: College of Diplomates, American Academy of Pediatric Dentists, American Dental Association, Illinois Society of Pediatric Dentists, Illinois State Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, cooking, and practicing hot yoga. And with a new baby girl at home, you can count on her to know what it’s like to be a parent.
Dr. Sharon Varghese, D.D.S.
Dr. Varghese completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. After graduation, she went straight into dental school and earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree at Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, WI. While in dental school, Dr. Varghese served as treasurer of her class and was awarded the National Health Service Corps scholarship. As a dentist, she dedicated 3 years to serving the uninsured and underinsured in a public health clinic in Indianapolis, IN. Then, her family decided to move back home to Chicago where she worked as a general dentist for 5 more years. During her 8 years total as a general dentist, Dr. Varghese realized her passion to learn more about pediatrics and decided to specialize in pediatric dentistry. She completed her 2 year pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan where she treated a large number of special needs and medically compromised children in downtown Detroit. Now, she is back home in the Chicago suburbs and excited to help children in her hometown as a pediatric dentist.
